“When Nina was a badass young girl in Slovakia she used to go to the stables every day after school and ride her favorite horse Tara - learning all the tricks of the trade of photography to document her adventures in the meantime. She was fueled with a nuclear desire to learn and evolve, chased down (almost) every major capital in Europe for volunteering opportunities at film festivals while capturing their streets and their people in somber black and whites or juicy, eye-popping colors. All that before her 18th birthday.
Today she is a sweetheart. Me, the writer of this little text, and her, we live in a cozy little apartment in Lund, taking the occasional stroll to search for squirrels. Nothing will melt her heart like a furry little rodent jumping from tree to tree. She’ll always bring nuts in her bag in case there’s a sighting. She really wants a cat too. One day we’ll get one, for sure. And yeah, she still takes photos. Actually, she’s sort of making a business out of it. You should see her running off to photoshoots or sitting all day and through the night in front of her computer editing photo after photo.”
